When you receive a message that the Orbicam application has stopped responding, you will need to reinstall your camera's driver. You can download the driver through the eRecovery Management program or from the Acer website.
Use eRecovery Management to install the Orbicam driver:
1. Please connect the power adapter to the computer.
2. Click Start, then All Programs, next open Acer Empowering Technology, and click the Acer eRecovery Management application. Please note that you may be prompted for a password when you access the eRecovery application. Please enter your password; if no password has been set, the default password is 000000.
3. Click the recovery menu and click Reinstall the application/driver.
4. Select the content and then, in the application and driver list, select Orbicam and click Install.
5. After the installation is completed, restart the system.
Download and reinstall the Orbicam driver:
1. Browse the Acer service support website download center.
2. Select your product line, product family, and exact product model. Click the "Operating System" drop-down menu and select your current operating system version.
3. Scroll down to find the camera driver and click the orange icon in front of it.
4. Click Save and select the site where you want to download the file.
