New Year 2016

17/02/2016 22:20

Last year, we started the year strong with an interview with Aron Ra and if you remember my rant, I heeded you all to try just one different thing. It's amazing how the vast majority of us go on everyday in a routine we simply detest and then come to some dull resolution in a vain attempt to change our lives.

Why do we do this? Why do we complain year after year about the state of our world, resolve ourselves to change, to then hastily give up at the first sign of hardship?

2015 was a year of change for us...
We saw a change in our staff, we saw a change in government, we even saw a change in attitudes in the population. Was there a change in your life?
Did you try to better your life, one little step at a time? Or did you just give up like the vast majority of us? Stats show that already, most of us have given up on promises we make for ourselves.
It's not too late, give it a shot!
Go ahead, try that new class you've been thinking about,
Go on that adventure you've always wanted to experience.

As atheist, we feel that life isn't just a welcome mat to wipe your boots on before stepping into the golden mansion of the afterlife,
This existence, as brief as it is, is the only one that we know of and we have no reason to believe there is a reward waiting for us beyond death.
So count yourself lucky to have participated in this life, of the billion of possibilities, you are here and just because life can be hard, it doesn't mean that you have to let it bowl you over. There are things you can change in your life to make it better, why not do it?

One baby step at a time, make sure 2016 isn't a repeat of 2015, make it better
